We started off our Halloween season by going to Gardner Village when we were in Utah. I have been there every year for a long time and always love to see their cute decorations. Kyler really enjoyed it this year too. When we were leaving he told us he wanted to stay with the witches.
Also, when we were in Utah, my nice aunt Tammy took pictures of the boys in their Halloween costumes. Well, she tried anyway. Kyler did not want to cooperate at all. He wouldn't even put on his whole costume. Eventually we talked him into the hat and the sword, but that was all we got. He can be so stubborn. She did get some cute pictures of Kadin though.
We also got to go to a "pumpkin patch" with lots of friends from our ward. Kyler had a great time on the big blow-up slides and on all of the rides. He got to take home a little pumpkin and some Halloween coloring pages. It was a lot of fun and we are so glad we were invited! Thanks Emily!
We went to our ward's trunk-or-treat party a few days before Halloween. Kyler was shy and didn't want to say trick-or-treat, but eventually he warmed up and said it to a few people. He loved getting dressed up and getting candy. We didn't do any trick-or-treating on Halloween because it was on Sunday and because neither of our boys are old enough to really care or know the difference. Next year we won't be so lucky, I'm sure.
On Halloween day we had our fun Halloween meal. It was pretty much the same thing as last year (see this post). We just added this item to the menu.
We almost skipped the Halloween dinner this year because we forgot about it until late Saturday evening, but Kyler has been asking for this guy for a long time. We didn't want to disappoint.
Mimi sent the boys these glasses. Funny!

SO cute!
ReplyDeleteI do the casserole in a pumpkin every Halloween but I think I might start doing something like this. I know Elliott would enjoy it more. Cute costumes.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures with the glasses are so cute. Looks like a fun Halloween, despite us scaring our kids and it being on Sunday. Don't take your spider toes off yet! They can just be Thanksgiving spiders :)
ReplyDeleteCute costumes! I'm sad that Halloween is over too!
