4 Months Old

This little guy is now four months old!

I can't believe how quickly time is flying. Trevin is getting big so fast. He is such a cute and happy boy. He is happiest right after he has had a nap and been fed. That is when he is the most smiley, giggly, and talkative. He gets grumpy once he has been awake for about two hours. It's a little bit hard to get him to go down for a nap. A lot of times I just have to hold him and rock him while he cries. Eventually he gives up and goes to sleep. I think if I fed him until he fell asleep we would have no problem getting him down, but I just don't want him to be dependent on that in order to fall asleep. Though it is hard to get him to fall asleep during nap time, once he is asleep, he is an excellent napper. He takes a nap for about an hour in the morning and then his afternoon nap is usually three hours long! As far as sleeping at night goes, he is absolutely amazing!!! He sleeps for 12 hours! He spoils me!

Church is a little bit hard for him, especially when it's nap time. It's hard to get him to sleep and keep him asleep while we are there.

He has learned to roll over. He has rolled from his tummy to his back several times and from his back to his tummy only once.

He LOVES his toes! He is always grabbing them and often tries to put them in his mouth.

Trevin thinks his brothers are great. He loves to watch them and listen to them talk to him. They can very easily get him to smile or laugh by doing just about anything. He thinks it is hilarious to get in on their rough housing. He will laugh and laugh when we help him wrestle with them.

You can see from the pictures above that the sores on his eyes are starting to heal nicely. His recovery from surgery was not hard for him at all and he did very well. Before the surgery, he could only open his eyelids enough for 2/3 of his left pupil to be visible and 1/2 of his right to be visible. Now we can see both pupils and I feel like he can see better. He no longer has to tilt his head up in order to look at us.

He still loves to play pat-a-cake and anything else that involves singing and playing with his hands or feet. He loves when we sing to him. He loves to play peek-a-boo. He has a book called "Baby Faces" that he loves. He looks at the pictures of the baby faces and tries to grab them. He likes to try to turn the pages. He likes to hold and examine his baby toys. He enjoys laying on his play mat and reaching for the toys that hang above it.

Trevin is such a joy to have in our home! We are so happy that he is ours!
